Oral Sex

STIs can be transmitted during oral sex, but there are ways to make oral sex safer and still pleasurable.
While performing oral sex, an external condom should be worn on the penis or a dental dam should be placed over the vagina and the anus. Dental dams are thin pieces of latex used as a barrier to prevent the transmission of STIs during vaginal and anal oral sex. If you have a latex allergy, there are latex-free options too. If you can’t find a dental dam, you can modify external condoms to be dental dams. Because there is mouth-to-condom contact when performing oral sex, we suggest using flavored condoms for maximum enjoyment.
